Now this is the sort of Hollywood movie that sometimes can go down well with movie going audiences and me, when Hollywood takes a little "poke" at it's self.

Taking on nearly every strange movie genre, zombies, aliens, end of the World all kinds of major spoof catastrophes. It should prove in time to be just what is needed to "send-up" the whole pretty poor selection of recent stream of action, sci-fi and disaster movies that quite frankly haven't worked.

Nothing to do with Simon Pegg's and Nick Frost's "The End of the World" which will be with us shortly it follows a bunch of "goofy" "nerd" characters that witness the apocalypse from zombies, monsters and just about every other consequence that the premiss can come up with.

The comedy This Is The End follows six friends trapped in a house after a series of strange and catastrophic events devastate Los Angeles. As the world unravels outside, dwindling supplies and cabin fever threaten to tear apart the friendships inside. Eventually, they are forced to leave the house, facing their fate and the true meaning of friendship and redemption.
